Meet Tim

  

Dr. Tim A. Gardner has dedicated his professional life to helping people live healthier, happier and more holistic lives, both at work and at home. For over three decades, Tim has worked to help individuals, couples, teams, and companies develop proven relationship and leadership competencies.  As the Founder and Director of Relational Intelligence, LLC, Tim has become one of the leading thought leaders in the country on strategies for companies to support and equip healthy relationships.  


A native Texan known for his quick wit, practical wisdom, and straight-facts approach, Tim is a gifted and popular speaker, presenting to groups from coast to coast. His audiences have included business professionals, educators, professional counselors, military personnel, churches, and many others.  Tim has earned both a Masters and Doctorate degree, a Black Belt in Taekwondo, and is the author of four books, two curricula, and over 20 magazine and journal articles. His work on creating healthy relationships in the workplace been featured in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the Indianapolis Star, and the Early Show on the CBS Morning News.


Currently, Tim serves as a Senior Performance Consultant for the Flippen Group, consulting with some of the largest companies in the world. Additionally, Tim serves as an Associate Research Fellow with the Sagamore Institute (a social-policy Think-Tank) and is the State Director of the Indiana School Superintendent Crisis Team.  He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (retired) and former president and member of his local school board. He previously served as the Director of Culture and Leadership Development for DEFENDERS, Inc. 


Tim and his wife, Amy, have been happily married for over 30 years, are actively involved in their community on issues related to hunger and homelessness, and serve on the welcome team at their church. They are blessed to have three grown children and make their home in Central Indiana.
